1939 World’s Fair — WTC Original Site

This photo shows a hasty “World Trade Center” built for visiting dignitaries at the New York 1939 World’s Fair. It was constructed last-minute after the Chinese cancelled their commitment to use the building. This is one of the only pictures of the original WTC.
